Comprehensive Anticorrosion Method for Metal Pipe Fittings

At present, the surface of vehicle pipelines is usually painted or galvanized. Although the above-mentioned technology is simple and feasible, under the scouring of internal medium (water or antifreeze) and great changes in working temperature (-40 ~ 120℃), the coating is easy to fall off and the substrate is seriously corroded. What is more serious is that the falling coating and corrosion products are easy to block the heat exchanger and other components, thus affecting the heat dissipation of the vehicle. The common Dacromet treatment process has good antirust effect, but the adhesion of metal surface is poor, and the coating is easy to damage under the long-term high-speed scouring of medium, thus significantly reducing the overall anticorrosion performance of pipe fittings.
Methods relate to a comprehensive anti-corrosion for metal pipe fittings invented by Zhou Li, Zhao Chunwei and Chen Shaoxin of China North Vehicle Research Institute, specifically related to the vehicle metal pipe fittings surface combined with a variety of anti-corrosion treatment. The metal pipe fittings need to be treated in turn performed as the following steps:
A. Oil and rust removal.
B. Zinc-chromium coating.
C. Top closure.
The B step should be preceded by a composite phosphating treatment. Considering the advantages and disadvantages of the zinc-chromium coating and the particularity of the structure and use of water pipe fittings, it adopts a new comprehensive anti-corrosion technology of "composite phosphating, zinc-chromium coating and top layer sealing" on the basis of the zinc-chromium coating, so that the composite coating has the characteristics of strong adhesive force, high temperature (280℃) and erosion resistance, obviously improving the corrosion resistance of the pipeline, which has stronger binding force and erosion resistance than the common Dacromet treatment method.
