GB elbow has certain anti-corrosion (oxidizing acid, organic acids, cavitations), heat-resisting and wear-resisting performance. It is usually used in power plant, chemical, oil and other equipment materials. GB elbow has poor weld ability, which should be paid attention to welding and heat treatment conditions and choose suitable welding electrode. In order to prevent the result of the heat corrosion between eyes, welding current should not be too large, which is about 20% less than that of carbon steel electrode, and arc should not be too long so that interlayer can cool quickly, so narrow bead is advisable. The surface has titanium calcium type and low hydrogen type. Titanium calcium type can be used for ac/dc, but when the ac welding penetration was relatively shallow, it is easy to become red, so to use dc power supply as much as possible.
Producing GB elbow note: electrode should be kept dry, and when using titanium calcium type, it should be 1 hour drying under 150 ℃, while low hydrogen type should be 1 hour drying under 200-250 ℃ (you cannot repeat drying, otherwise the skin will easily crack and flake), prevent electrode surface from oil and other dirt, lest cause weld increased carbon content and affects the quality of weldment. When welding the elbow, carbide precipitation by repeated heating, which may reduce corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. GB elbow during the welding process needs to be carried out and controlled in accordance with the practical instructions and forms, in order to make its elbow products fully show its use of good characteristics and performance and ensure its excellent quality.
