The Forming Process and Continuous Casting Technology with High Efficiency for Stamping Carbon Steel Elbows

The basic forming process of stamping carbon steel elbows is: firstly we welded a polygonal cross-section of polygonal ring shell or polygonal fan-shaped shell with closed ends. After the inner part of the shall was filled with pressure mediums, the cross section will be gradually changed from polygon to circle and eventually become a circular ring shell under the action of internal pressure. A circular ring can be cut into four 90° elbows or six 60° elbows and other sizes as required. This kind of technology can be used for manufacturing any large size elbows whose ratio between the medium diameter and inner diameter is over 1.5, which is the perfect way of producing large elbows at present.
Besides carbon carbon steel stamping elbows generally contain a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus. We can classify carbon steel into three categories, which are carbon structural steel, carbon tool steel and easy cutting steel. Carbon structural steel includes structural steel and machine manufacturing structural steel.
There are open-hearth steel, converter steel and electric steel according to smelting methods; we can also classify carbon steel into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel based on carbon content; or carbon steel can be classified into ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, high-grade fine steel and premium high-quality steel.
Generally, carbon steel with high carbon content has higher hardness and strength, but lower plasticity. Sometimes we refer to those that doesn't not contain many alloy elements as straight carbon steel or carbon steel.

4. Mould oscillator with high precision and long service life is one of the key technology of high efficient casting, which includes optimizations of vibration device, forms of mould oscillator and vibration process parameters.
5. Covering slag technology. When casting speed increase after covering slag matches with casting speed. We need to improve the casting speed in order to protect covering slag viscosity with high indicator.
6. Stamping elbow crystallizer steel liquid level control technology. Stamping elbow mold molten steel liquid level control technology. The higher the speed is, the greater fluctuation of the crystallizer level it will be. The big fluctuation of the liquid surface can easily cause slag and inclusions, which can lead to casting blank defects. So the stability of liquid surface is more and more important.
7. Secondary cooling hardware and software technology. Hardware should try to cool uniformly, and can be easily adjusted.
